△ The High School Attached to Renmin University of ChinaThe High School Attached to Renmin University of China is one of the first demonstration high schools in Beijing. Established in April 1950, it is located in the heart of the Zhongguancun High-tech Park in Beijing, occupying a land area of 142 acres. Adjacent to Peking University, Tsinghua University, Renmin University of China, and the Chinese Academy of Sciences, it boasts excellent humanistic and geographical advantages and is a beautifully landscaped garden-style school.
Renai School Affiliated to Renmin University is a renowned middle school both at home and abroad. It has been honored by the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipal Government with various titles, including "Comprehensive Education with Distinctive Features", "Outstanding Achievements in Comprehensive Education and Cultivation of Students with Academic Strengths", "National Green Network Demonstration School of the National Network Civilization Project", "National Advanced School of Labor and Technical Education", "National Demonstration School of Modern Educational Technology", "National Excellent School for Training High-level Athletic Talents", "National Advanced School in Sports and Hygiene Work", "One of the First Batch of High School Demonstration Schools in Beijing", and "Beijing Science and Technology Demonstration School". In 2007, it was awarded the title of "National Advanced Collective in the Educational System". The school has established a scientific and comprehensive curriculum system, covering nine areas: Language and Culture, Mathematics and Science, Humanities and Society, Technology and Design, Art and Appreciation, Physical Education and Health, Moral Education and Psychology, Activities and Labor Practice, and International Curriculum. Besides fully offering the compulsory and elective courses stipulated by the national curriculum, the school also provides a rich variety of school-based compulsory and elective courses.
As of 2012, the school had two campuses: the main campus and the Northern Campus of Renmin University, with three teaching sequences including high school, middle school, and international department, accommodating over 4,500 students. Since 2002, the school has jointly run educational programs with Yongning Middle School in Yanqing and the Affiliated High School of China Agricultural University, and cooperated with schools in poverty-stricken areas in the central and western regions such as Xinmi in Henan and Liupanshan in Ningxia, sharing quality educational resources. It has also united with 100 high-quality middle schools across the country to create the "National Alliance for Collaborative Construction and Sharing of Basic Educational Resources."
