The High School Attached to Tsinghua University is located in the beautiful Tsinghua University campus, adjacent to the famous Summer Palace to its west.

The predecessor of The High School Attached to Tsinghua University is Chengzhi School, which was founded in 1915. The famous Nobel laureate in physics, Mr. Yang Zhenning, once studied here. His inscription for his alma mater, "Strive to reach world-class standards," inspires Tsinghua High School to move towards the goal of becoming a domestic and world-renowned top school.

Tsinghua High School is a university-affiliated high school directly under the education authorities, a key high school in Beijing, a national traditional sports school, the "Mathematical Olympiad Training Base for High School Students" of the Chinese Mathematical Olympiad Committee, and one of the first demonstration ordinary high schools in Beijing. In August 2004, Tsinghua High School obtained ISO9001 quality certification and has had a wide influence nationwide.
